Do the James Webb Telescope Discoveries Call the Big Bang Theory Into Question?

What is the significance of the James Webb Telescope findings? Dr. Craig responds!

FRANK: We've heard in the social media world that the James Webb space telescope has somehow gone against the Big Bang, the fact that there was a beginning. That's not so, is it?

DR. CRAIG: No, that's just popular misrepresentation that you find in the sensationalist press. What the James Webb telescope suggests is that our theory of galaxy formation probably needs to be revised so that stars can be older than anticipated prior to that, but that's much, much later than the Big Bang itself, and it doesn't do anything to undermine the notion that the universe is expanding and had an origin at some time in the finite past. In fact, when you chase down the quotation that is usually repeated in the popular press to the woman astronomer who said that it shook her faith in the Big Bang, she denies ever having said that. She says this was misreported by the press, and that's not at all accurate.[1]
