It serves to rectify the manifold shortcomings of this earthly life by promising a resurrection life to come with complete physical and psychological healing. And, finally, it guarantees Christ’s personal return to establish his reign over all creation. The resurrection of Jesus, then, is not a dead dogma of the church; it is an exciting and energizing truth that ought to fill and guide our lives today. Let's close with that great benediction from the book of Hebrews.
