Is It Possible We Live in a Multiverse?

DR. CRAIG: I think it's possible that we live within a multiverse. There are various models for how this might happen. For example, in inflationary cosmology the universe we inhabit is simply a bubble of true vacuum that exists within the womb of the mother universe which is a false vacuum. And as various regions of this false vacuum decay to a lower energy state true vacuum, they form similar universe bubbles. And so it's possible that we are just part of this much wider reality. But in the absence of some reason to believe that this is true, I think that's all it remains – just a bare possibility.
