For the First Time, Russia Ranked Among Worst Violators of Religious Freedom

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has added Russia to its list of countries in which restrictions on religious freedom are of ‘particular concern.’ This is the first time in the 20-year history of the USCIRF that Russia has been included in this list. On restriction highlighted by the USCIRF is a Russian law that prohibits non-Orthodox Russians from sharing their beliefs outside of church property.
